The road traffic environment is particularly complex. Drivers on the road are vulnerable to the complex road traffic environment. There is absolute need for strict traffic laws and its compliances as a number of road accidents are increasing day by day in the country. Rigorous road safety programs alone cannot ensure the road safety. There is a need to understand that we have not jumped on the road to enter a race or overtake others but to travel through it. We should not only ensure owns safety but others too by following traffic laws.
Traffic congestion is one of the common problems faced by nearly all the people in India. The fundamental reason behind this is that the existing roadways are not capable of handling the increasing number of motor vehicles on roads.

Laws regulating the traffic on the road are provided under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 is an Act passed by the Parliament of India which came into force fromn July 1, 1989 and is applicable to whole of India however lapses in traffic laws requlations, violations and accidents are glaring reality.
